NSCAD's annual fashion show showcasing students work is always on my agenda come spring time. Whether I'm working it, walking in it or watching it, there's so much excitement seeing the hard work of these individuals shine through in their designs and big day. It really ties everything together for them, giving them a full taste of the fashion world.
Seeing all these volunteers, mainly students and NSCAD employees, come together and devote their time to make something like this possible is truly inspiring. It's not backed up by pools of money, it's hard work and motivation to give upcoming designers a unique platform to showcase their work in. And an awesome one at that.
I stuck behind-the-scenes this weekend, shooting all the lovely models as they got ready. It's always a long day for everyone, and patience is a virtue.
